Sara wants ‘Run, Sara, Run’ tarps, billboards removed

DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Duterte cautioned people behind the ‘Run, Sara, Run’ movement to make sure that they have permits or followed the government process when they installed their tarpaulins and billboards.

She warned that she will take it down if they did not follow the law. “I would like to remind those who are installing billboards and tarpaulins, we have a regulation about it and you need to pay the government. Those who are not following the process, the billboards will be taken down and we will return it to them,” Duterte said.

Reiterating she is not interested to run in the 2022 presidential elections, she said,  “For now, no. There’s no chance that I would change my mind. What’s my reason? I do not want to enumerate the reasons because it is not only one and I don’t want to offend or hurt anybody.”

She also stressed her decision remains. “The people thought that I am only kidding when I say I won’t [run]. Maybe also because I did not specify any reason for them to believe that I’m not really interested.”

Last year, Duterte said she will give her answer if she will be running or not when January 2021 comes. “I said I will answer them by January 2021 and I did. Before January ended I already gave them my answer.”

However, Sara still thanked her supporters behind the Run, Sara, Run. “I thank them for their trust and confidence in me.,” she said.
