DAVAO CITY – Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Ra Cagas has ordered all department heads/office heads, officials and employees of the province to return to regular daily work schedule from 8 a.m. to 4p.m. with no noon break effective April 7.
Through an Executive Order No. 11, Cagas said that altenative work arrangements are susceptible to draw backs and abuse of some employees.
“Instead of working from home, they go out for personal errands and other non-essential travels giving way for possible transmission,” Cagas said in the EO.
The EO also lifted the suspension of the Biometrics-based attendance and has ordered the employees to do the finger scanning.
The order exempts pregnant women, immunocompromised persons with comorbidities.
“However, this exemption is not automatic, they must apply specifically indicating therein the work to be accomplished, timelines, reportorial system, communication platforms to be used and a number of days in a week that such employee will work under the alternative work arrangement. The application must be approved by the department head or head of office and a notarized medical certificate must also be attached,” the EO further added.
After the approval of the application, the head of office is also mandated to make a schedule of work in their respective offices and submit it to the provincial administrator.
